October saw the start of our Winter Series events over the next 6 months. We ran 3 during October with all proving highly successful. 311 golfers took part across the 3 opening events at Lutterworth, The Nottinghamshire and Kedleston Park Golf Club’s. Record breaking numbers for us enjoying these events.
These are individual stablefords whereby Professional and amateur golfers play in the same field, all battling out to win a first prize of £500 which we guarantee at each event. So far in just the first 3 events we have paid out just over £7000 in prize monies. Professionals receive the money and amateurs get to spend the equivalent in vouchers at the host venues shops.

This October has seen newly turned Professional George Bloor win his first event as a Pro which could be a catalyst for future successes. The split in prize monies so far has been fairly even with the Professionals just edging the amateurs at a 60/40 ratio. This usually evens up over the season.

George Bloor – First win as a professional golfer

These events also help raise additional revenue for the host golf clubs we use. Based on previous years running of these events, a venue that host 6 winter series events from October through to March can see a revenue spike of upto £20,000 just for 6 days during the winter months. Golfingdays work hard on the venues behalf to ensure this happens.

If you are a golfer who loves competitive golf or a golf club who would be interested in becoming a host venue, then please get in touch with us to register your interest.
