Here at Golfingdays Ltd, we have many years’ experience in the event industry and more recently the travel industry and we haven’t seen anything like what is happening since the spread of Covid-19 across Europe and the world. In this current crisis, we are faced with the unprecedented situation of needing to rearrange a lot of our customers’ holidays, which means we are taking on a strange reverse role of dismantling our tailor made golf packages rather than creating them. 

The administration of this is extremely hard work and a huge disappointment for everyone concerned, not least our clients whose eagerly anticipated trips can no longer go ahead for the time being. We have bookings for significant birthdays, birthday presents, golf club captains trips and all kind of special occasions so we know how very upsetting it is to have your plans changed. Our events business has also taken a hit with cancellations of Winter Series events, one of our first two National Golf Club team Championship venues, our Ladies Pairs event, our “7 night with 5 rounds in 3 countries” hosted trip, our work with the Nottinghamshire PGA and many more.

We are assisting all our customers who have booked to travel, or booked on any of our events  in the next couple of months with advice on how best to manage these and their expectations. We are offering options, helping them plan but also giving them something to look forward to in these troubled times.

As most customers are opting to defer, we would like to send our sincere thanks to them for their understanding of the situation and their confidence that later in the year we will have them all back on the fairways and greens of some of the UK’s, Europe’s and the Rest of the Worlds Golf Courses. They should all be in fabulous condition after being given a well earned rest!!

I am sure many of you are unsure of when and where you would like to start travelling again so therefore hesitant on what to do next. We are offering different options on what to do to all of our clients that have trips and events booked with us and these have all received these notifications by email.

We can also offer a credit voucher for future trips … not only does it give us great pleasure that we will be booking your golfing holiday in the future and helping you enjoys some of the worlds finest golf resorts and courses, but it also enables us to drive through this current crisis, avoiding financial losses that would impact if we cancel all bookings with suppliers who are unable to refund us.  It also enables us to spend more time helping you with future bookings.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers we have spoken to or interacted with over the past month, the lovely messages of support and understanding have been heartwarming. We hope to see you back on the fairways soon.
